Tilta Trailer's unique design has eliminated
the need for extra ramps.

When the locking mechanism that locks down the tracks is released, you simply drive your car onto the trailer and the tracks automatically lock when the car is loaded. It’s that easy.

There is also the added security of having your vehicle locked onto the trailer.

LOADING VEHICLE ONTO TRAILER

• Apply downward pressure on front of track while pulling out the safety handle which releases the lock. When the lock is  released this will allow the tracks to rise.

• Now the trailer is ready to load your vehicle on.  Drive the vehicle to the start of the tracks and check that alignment of wheels is correct.  Proceed to drive slowly up the track ensuring the vehicle is driven all the way to the stops. The tyres have to be hard up against the stops to ensure balance is correct and avoid damage to the trailer and your vehicle.  The tracks will automatically tilt to a horizontal position and lock into place. Apply the hand brake and put vehicle into park (automatic) or first gear (manual).

• Exit vehicle safely (remember you can stand on the mudguards) and then apply the safety straps over the front wheels only.  Now your trailer is loaded and ready for the journey.

UNLOADING VEHICLE OFF TRAILER

• Firstly remove safety straps from front wheels and pull out the safety handle at front of the tracks and lock into place. At anytime the vehicle is going to be moved whilst on the trailer, it is imperative that the locking mechanism is in the unlocked position.  This will avoid any damage to your trailer.   The weight of the car will make this easier.

• Enter vehicle safely and reverse your vehicle slowly off the trailer.

• You can either leave the trailer with the tracks tilted or you can
apply downward pressure on the tracks and they will automatically lock back into place.

Tilta Trailers are designed to carry a maximum of 1200kg.

Placing further weight either in your vehicle or on the trailer will void the compliance.  This means that if you were unfortunate enough to have an accident, no claims on insurance can be made.

Please note that by placing extra weight in the boot of your vehicle while it is on the trailer will reduce the trailer’s ability to tilt and may cause damage to the locking mechanism which in turn may cause damage to your vehicle.  Please be aware of this.
